About Amy Aldrich

I’ve lived in Prairie Village for more than two decades and now live just a few blocks from where I was raised — a daily reminder of the strong roots and close-knit community that shaped me. My parents live here, as do my brother, sister-in-law, and my darling nephew, making Prairie Village not just my home, but the heart of my family life.

I’m a graduate of St. Teresa’s Academy and the University of Missouri, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Banking. Over the years, I’ve built a career that blends strategic thinking with real-world problem-solving, and I’ve remained deeply committed to giving back.

In addition to my professional work, I’m a seasoned fundraiser for several nonprofits and currently serve on the St. Elizabeth School Board. These roles have strengthened my belief in the power of local leadership and the importance of listening, collaboration, and service.

In my free time, I love to volunteer, travel, and entertain friends and family, and attend football games at Mizzou.

Why I’m Running for Prairie Village City Council – Ward Three

I’m running for city council because I believe Prairie Village deserves leadership that listens first, communicates openly, and puts our residents above politics or outside pressure. With nearly 20 years as a sales engineer and experience as a former banker, I’ve spent my career helping people and companies understand complex systems, solve problems, and make confident, informed decisions. That work has taught me how to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and deliver practical results — all of which I’ll bring to this role.

I believe in responsible governance — being thoughtful about how we spend taxpayer dollars. I support giving residents the opportunity to vote on major projects that significantly impact our community.

I’m committed to being a voice for our community — someone who’s approachable, solutions-oriented, and focused on what matters most to the people who live here. I have no political aspirations beyond this role — my only goal is to serve the residents of Prairie Village with integrity and accountability.

This campaign isn’t about partisanship — it’s about common sense, civility, and putting Prairie Village first.
